A woman in tema has done an unforgivable crime by poisoning her two kids who are only two and one year old to death with rat poison as a result of they being a burden to her.

It was said, the woman bought the rat poison from the open market and missed it with food to be given to the children and served them with it, the children died in their sleep after the concoction had worked on them.

An eyewitness who can only be identified as Eric told Adom news that the woman quickly rushed out to confess to them after the children had died and that he is not surprised as the woman usually told them she would poison them since they both a burden for her. He added.

“She always highlighted on plans of poisoning the kids, but we didn't take it serious since she is mentally sound”. He added.

It took the intervention of the police to save this woman as residents was about lynching her.
