Nana Yaw Akwada, Executive Director of the Bureau of Public Safety, has encouraged Ghanaians to be extra mindful about their safety ahead of the Easter celebrations.
He suggested that, if feasible, revelers go in pairs for safety.
"Chances of survival are quite minimal if assaulted alone," he remarked on NEAT FM's morning broadcast, 'Ghana Montie.'
"The evil exists among us," he adds, "so be watchful and a friend to the cops."
Nana Yaw Akwada was addressing a research by his business that claims Kumasi, the capital city of Ghana's Ashanti Region, is a high-risk homicide zone.
