Benedicta Bruce, a Junior High School graduate, was saved from attempting suicide by Golden Bees Club, a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
According to evidence acquired by editor Maxwell Osei Bonsu, Benedicta committed herself because her parents could not afford to send her to high school.
Maxwell's luck was on her side when she revealed her tragic experience with the Golden Bees Club, whose mission is to assist the poor and disadvantaged in society. The club chose to assist the lady who had Aggregate Fifteen (15) and attended Benkum Senior High School.
In an interview with the media, Nana Serwaa Caiquo, President of the Golden Bees Club, stated that the group will assume full care for Benedicta till she completes SHS.
She went on to say that if someone needs their support in any manner, whether it's education, health, or financial, they should contact them because they are willing to help because the government cannot do it alone, and it's also a way to help the government build a better nation for everybody.
She made these remarks during an inaugural event at Accra's Golden Tulip.
Benedicta, on the other hand, showed her appreciation to the group and pledged to make them proud by lighting the midnight candle to get high marks.
