At the end of the season, the 33-year-old will enter the last year of his deal with the Bavarian giants. According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations for a new contract have stalled because the club has been unwilling to accept his requests for a long-term contract.

Gerard Romero has now provided an update on the situation, namely the transfer of money that may be involved in Barcelona's pursuit of Lewandowski.
According to the transfer expert, Barcelona has told Lewandowski's camp that they are prepared to pay a transfer price of roughly €25-30 million to Bayern Munich in order to sign him.
Romero further claims that the Bundesliga winners are wanting €60 million for their prolific striker, which the Blaugrana would not pay.
Lewandowski is having another spectacular season with Bayern Munich, having already scored 46 goals in all competitions. The Poland international is without a doubt one of the top attackers in the game and would significantly improve the quality of this Barcelona group.
However, a transfer would be contingent on the Catalans and Bayern Munich agreeing on a cost. However, because Barcelona is hesitant to reach Lewandowski's €60 million value, the club has ordered the striker to push for a move and put pressure on Die Roten, according to Gerard Romero.
