The Kwahu Summit has begun, and Ghana will host the Africa Prosperity Dialogues.

The Kwahu Summit for Africa's Prosperity was inaugurated today by the Africa Prosperity Network.

The unveiling took place at the Accra Marriot Hotel on the margins of the African Development Bank's annual conference, which is now taking place in Accra, Ghana, and was attended by top African corporate executives, government officials, and local and international media.

In light of the situation of intra-Africa trade, His Excellency Wamkele Mene, the Executive Secretary of the AfCFTA Secretariat, spoke at the inauguration and underlined the necessity for Africans to have relevant debates regarding Africa's economic connections with the rest of the world.

His Excellency Wamkele Mene expressed the AfCfFTA Secretariat's support for the Kwahu Summit, urging that it effectively engage the full range of sustainable development actors, governments, and businesses to explore how to expedite the AfCFTA's implementation as well as the type of economic development vision Africa needs for decades to come.

Honorable Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Ghana's Minister of Information, addressed on behalf of the government about the government's support for the Kwahu Summit's thought leadership platform, which allows Africans to better harness opportunities and resources on the continent.

Given the continent's share of global natural resources and the potential of its demography for consumerism, leadership, and labor force, Mr. Yofi Grant, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), emphasized the need for Africans to proactively direct global discourses and collaborations on Africa's development.

On the 28th and 29th of October 2022, the first Kwahu Summit on Africa's Prosperity will be held at the Rock City Hotel in Kwahu. The AfCFTA Secretariat, the Government of Ghana, and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre are the Summit's partners (GIPC).

The Summit's partners include the AfCFTA Secretariat, the Government of Ghana, and the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
