TROPICAL CABLE LAUNCHES ITS 25TH ANNIVERSARY AND A NEW PRODUCT

Tropical Cable & Conductor Limited (TCCL), a renowned producer of electrical cables and conductors, celebrated its silver anniversary in Tema.

 

An industry-first product was launched as part of the event, which had the theme "25 Years of Impacting Ghana: New Ideas, New Products, New Markets."

 

 

 

To ensure great signal strength and safety, the new product, Coaxial TV Cable, is a form of communication cable specifically made with a pure copper core, insulation, a pure copper wire braid surrounding it, and encased with Flame Retardant Low Smoke PVC.

 

 

 

It is typically used to link TV and satellite antennas to television sets in different locations, including households and companies. further to the CCTV camera connections.

Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, who served as the 25th Anniversary launch's Special Guest of Honor & Keynote Speaker, praised Tropical Cable for being the first manufacturer to locally produce coaxial TV cables in Ghana.

 

 

 

 

 

Launch of a new product and the 25th anniversary of Tropical Cable

 

"Tropical Cable has proven to be the first and competitive in everything quality when it comes to manufacturing in Ghana and the Sub-region, therefore this is a really exciting step on their part.

 

 

 

And it is the first company in Ghana to manufacture these Coaxial TV Cables on its 25th anniversary. It is a tremendous honour and delight for Tropical Cable to officially introduce the first locally built coaxial TV cables in Ghana.

 

Dr. Tony Oteng-Gyasi, the founder and executive chairman of Tropical Cable & Conductor Limited, spoke about the company's 25-year journey and said it has been intriguing and full of lessons.

 

 

 

"As I reflect on the previous 25 years, I can only characterise the experience of Tropical Cable as fascinating, illuminating, and instructive. I founded this business with the straightforward goal of building an industrial powerhouse for Africa that will last long after I am gone.

 

 

 

"I want to thank everyone who helped and collaborated with me to realise my goal. Because of our clients, electrical companies, distributors, merchants, and others, as well as our strong and committed staff, Tropical Cable is where it is today.

 

Martyn Mensah, the managing director of the company, reaffirmed the company's commitment to having a significant impact on Ghana's development trajectory, saying, "Our track record speaks for itself - we have created long-term jobs with the majority of our staff having been with us for over 15 years and have contributed to the development of the built environment and power sector in Ghana.

 

 

 

"Our quest to increase exports has aided government attempts to combat the devaluation of the cedi, in addition to boosting government income through quick tax collection. We serve as evidence that the private sector can significantly alter the course of our country's growth.

 

"There is so much more that we can and plan to achieve; thus, the assistance of the government is vital in our growth strategy in the next years," the company stated. "Our objective is not to survive the next 25 years but to flourish."

 

 

 

"The goal is still intriguing and current, and we'll make sure the coming 25 years are just as extraordinary as the ones that have already passed. In order to maintain our position as the industry leader in terms of technological advancements and innovations, as well as to keep adding to the long list of "firsts" we have amassed over the years, he said.
