Rex Omar, the former Board Chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO), has denounced claims that organisation leaders have been embezzling money.

He contends that anyone who assert to have proof that GHAMRO is not spending its funds wisely ought to file lawsuits to demand responsibility.

Rex Omar advised Akosua Agyapong to refrain from disparaging others and acquire a deeper comprehension of problems before making public statements in response to various assertions she made about the organization's collecting and distribution of cash.

He continued by saying that the musician must let those chosen to lead the group do their jobs because she is incapable of carrying out even the smallest assignment when given the chance.

The GHAMRO Board members are working to be open and responsible, according to Rex Omar. Some individuals, however, have made up their minds not to listen or trust anything that is stated.

There are two types of individuals in this world: those who say, "I don't know, [understand], and please explain to me," and those who would also say, "I don't know, but whatever you want to explain, I don't care [about it]; I've made up my mind, and this is what I think."

"The bulk of our population is like that. One of them was a fan of Agyapong Akosua. She has been claiming that GHAMRO is stealing money and that she has proof ever since Kojo Antwi's tenure.

If you can demonstrate that someone has stolen money from GHAMRO, it is illegal. Take those documents, file a complaint, and let the suspect be taken into custody; at that point, you have evidence.

People cannot merely "jump from one radio station to another" and level charges, he said.

Ask GHAMRO members who come to collect your fees as a spinner to show you their licence before you pay them. because they are misusing and wasting our funds. Rex Omar is the worst board chairman I have ever seen; he is the worst. Papa Yankson is also no longer with us; GHAMRO used to provide such legends with merely $100 a month for what they call welfare. Even if they still pay the same amount now, I have no idea.

I'm not sure why the attorney general hasn't already shut down that office. Why are musicians doomed to poverty?
