A 35 years old woman called Grace recounted why she accepted to marry her brother-in-law after her husband died. According to the woman she stayed with her late husband in their family house for years, unfortunately, her husband fell sick and died a few years ago. After the funeral rites of her late husband, her in-laws told her that she is a good woman and will never allow her to marry another person outside their family.

All the family members met on their decision and her brother-in-law called Kwaku Agyei accepted to marry her in front of the whole family. Grace said she agreed with the family decision because of her kids and went to stay with her brother-in-law as her husband. She made preparations and traveled out of the country whilst the man took care of the children she had with her late husband.

A few months later, Kwaku asked her to invest her GHC7,500 in an investment company he has been working with but she didn't receive any interest from that money. Grace claims she continues to send her husband money to cater to the children. She asked for her money from her new husband a year later but he rather exchanged words with her and disclosed to her that she will not get the money at that moment.

Grace said she received information from her family members that Kwaku has abandoned her children with the mother-in-law without catering for them whilst she has been sending him money every month. She became so sad about her husband's attitude, so she came to Ghana to look after her children, she tried calling her husband but he blocked her after she requested the money she gave him. The following day she found out that her husband has gotten married to another woman and they are staying together.

She again called Kwaku and demanded her money but he boldly told her that he doesn't have any money but he can go ahead and kill him if she wants. According to Kwaku Agyei, it is Grace who accepted to marry him after his brother's funeral, he was even surprised about it but Grace insisted on marrying him. The man said she even came to pay him a visit in Accra and slept with him before she traveled. He claims he has invested the money she gave him in the company that's why he can't retrieve it from her.
