Accra Hearts of Oak, the MTN FA Cup champions, have parted company with Cameroonian attacker Junior Kaaba after barely four months, according to sources in the local media.
The 23-year-old impressed in Cameroon's top division and in August agreed to a two-year contract with the "Phobians."
The Cameroonian striker who arrived with so much potential does not appear to be a favorite of Hearts of Oak coach Slavko Matic.
However, in the early going, he hasn't scored in six games and was banished to the bench during the World Cup break.
Since the league restarted, Hearts of Oak had defeated Nsoatreman FC and Uncle T United in two FA Cup matches.
They lost 1-2 against Bechem United nevertheless, snapping their eight-game winning streak and knocking them out of the top four.
To bolster their offense, the Phobians will probably add another striker to their roster. The next Ghana Premier League contest between Hearts of Oak and Tamale City will be played.
