AFRICAN BUSINESS PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR 2022 IS YOFI GRANT, AND GIPC IS NAMED THE BEST FDI DESTINAT

The coveted African Business Personality of the Year 2022 award has been given to Yofi Grant, the acclaimed CEO of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC). Yofi Grant is honored with this prestigious award for his excellent leadership and achievements in fostering business development and economic expansion in Ghana and all of Africa.


Also, the "Best FDI Destination in Africa for 2022" award was given to GIPC on behalf of Ghana, enhancing its standing as an innovative leader in promoting prospects for foreign direct investment in Ghana and throughout the continent. It is a significant accomplishment for the GIPC and demonstrates the CEO's perseverance and commitment in leading Ghana to become one of Africa's most desirable investment destinations as a result of various reforms and policies implemented by President Nana Akufo-Addo to make Ghana's business climate better.



Yofi Grant has played a key role in bringing foreign direct investment (FDI) to Ghana and influencing investment policy throughout the continent as the CEO of GIPC and Director for Sub-Saharan Africa on the WAIPA steering board.


By driving the digitization of investment registration at the GIPC, he has spearheaded steps to simplify the investment process, lower bureaucracy, and promote transparency, making Ghana an appealing location for investors.


Under his direction, GIPC has been successful in luring substantial investments into the nation in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, energy, and services. Also, the organization has promoted technology and knowledge transfer by facilitating collaborations between small enterprises and large corporations.

The awards, according to Mr. Graham, "recognize the good effect of the organization's actions and strategies in bringing foreign investment into Ghana and the continent as a whole." It emphasizes Ghana's allure as a location for investments, with a stable political climate and a developing economy, enticing more investors to think about Ghana as a location for their investments.


According to him, "Africa's standing as a premier destination for investors seeking dynamic markets and genuine economic prospects has increased with the launch of the African Continental Free Trade Area."
