The 77th Speech and Prize-giving Day at Holy Child School in Cape Coast included a challenge to educators to find more creative methods to raise a generation that would have a good influence on their neighborhoods.


The guest speaker, Professor Vera Ogeh Fiador of the 1997-year group, the first female Professor of Finance at the University of Ghana, spoke on the occasion's theme, "Sustainable education key to nurturing effective change leaders," and stated that the time was right to start sustainable education that would prepare children for the future.




She recommended instructors impart knowledge in a way that students could grasp to reach their goals and aspirations, and she counseled students to take charge of their own education and conduct to succeed.

He said that the re-entry policy allowed pregnant females to return to school, helping young moms and students finish their education, to encourage girls' education in particular.


Of the 529 pupils who took the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) 2022, 38 students earned between five and eight As, according to the school's headmistress, Linda Appiah, in a speech read on her behalf.


She stated that there were 936 forms for two students, 755 forms for three students, and 670 forms for one kid who had only just reported to the school, for a total of 2,361 children.

The school will continue to offer sustainable education that will enable both its present and future students to become successful change leaders in their communities and country as a whole, according to the school's patron, Most Rev. Charles Gabriel Palmer-Buckle.


Justina Marigold Assan, the Central Regional Minister, gave the pupils advice to pay attention in class, follow the norms and regulations of the school, and abstain from anti-social behaviors.


The function's chairperson, Nana Obuo Raphael of the 1996-year group, urged the students to persevere in their quest for knowledge and set lofty goals with strong values that would carry them beyond their academic endeavors.


The 1998-year group restored and presented phase two of the Archbishop Amissah Center in honor of the school's 77th anniversary.
