At the Jubilee House, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo inaugurated the Public Services Commission board and urged them to work hard to further Ghanaians' well-being.
In order to guarantee that there was a robust public service that delivered effective service, he said it was anticipated that the members who were experienced in their fields of effort would lend their skills.
Dr. Agyemang Frimpong, Dr. Prince Edward Darah, Professor Kwame Boafo Arthur, Pauline Adobea Dadzawa, and Cynthia Asare Bediako are all members of the board, which is presided over by Professor Victor Kwame Agyemang.
Constitution
According to President Akufo-Addo, articles 194 to 199 of the constitution, which outlined the commission's membership and responsibilities, were directly responsible for its inception. The commission is the primary authority in charge of advising the government on the requirements for the appointment of public servants.
He said that it was tasked with preparing the workforce requirements for the public services as well as enhancing recruiting rules and procedures. It was also entrusted with encouraging efficiency, accountability, and honesty.
He characterized the commission as a significant national institution that required people selected for positions in its very top echelons to be those who had been demonstrated to be tried, tested, and mission-driven.
The President stated, "I am confident that the affairs of the commission are in safe hands," adding that the people expected nothing less than perfection because their predecessors had performed admirably in that capacity.

He assured them of the government's backing and reaffirmed the fact that they were free to carry out their duties without regard to the direction or control of anyone else.
"The work you have before you is difficult. I'm hoping you'll be able to handle it.
You have the full backing of my administration and myself as you implement all the necessary steps and changes to ensure your success, he stated.
The Chairman promised the President on behalf of the board members that they would work hard to fulfill their mandate and collaborate closely with the executive branch to reshape and improve the public service.
