Liverpool has transfer luxury Chelsea lacks and Jürgen Klopp should fix Roberto Firmino dilemma.

Liverpool is monitoring every outfield position in the coming transfer window. Jürgen Klopp can solve his Roberto Firmino dilemma with a shrewd swoop.

Liverpool possesses a significant advantage over Chelsea when it comes to transfers, and Jürgen Klopp should address the dilemma surrounding Roberto Firmino. As the upcoming transfer window approaches, Liverpool is closely monitoring every position on the field, while Chelsea languishes with their poor performance, including a recent defeat to Manchester United that sealed their fate in the Europa League.

Chelsea, unlike Liverpool, can only dream of participating in European football, as their Premier League finish places them in the bottom half of the table. With just one game remaining, their sole concern is reaching a total of 38 goals, averaging only one goal per game. This dire situation faced by Chelsea highlights a potential opportunity for Klopp and Liverpool to make a decisive move.

Liverpool currently finds itself in a dilemma regarding the future of Roberto Firmino. Although Firmino's departure would undoubtedly leave a void, it is not immediately evident whether he needs to be replaced. His eight years of experience under Klopp cannot be easily replicated by an external player. Moreover, Liverpool already has players like Cody Gakpo and Darwin Núñez, who have demonstrated their on-field capabilities.

Nonetheless, Klopp is likely considering the addition of depth in the false nine position, despite Gakpo's impressive performances. Recently, Klopp confirmed that Liverpool is not actively seeking a goalkeeper, indicating that they are exploring other positions for reinforcement.

One potential transfer option for Klopp could arise from the end of João Félix's loan spell at Chelsea. Atlético Madrid, who allowed the loan move initially, suggests their willingness to part ways with Félix. The Portuguese player has long been regarded as having qualities similar to Firmino. Liverpool could capitalize on this opportunity, especially considering that Félix has not experienced the best of times in London.

Despite Félix's intermittent displays of quality, including a well-taken consolation goal against Manchester United, he has struggled for consistency due to the lack of a stable platform at Chelsea. His four goals since joining Chelsea in January make him the club's third top-scorer. However, given Chelsea's goal-scoring issues, Félix was never the ideal solution. His skill set aligns more closely with that of Firmino, making him a potential valuable addition to Liverpool's squad.

Acquiring Félix would also offer Klopp an escape from the Firmino dilemma. The Portuguese player could fill a similar role to Firmino when needed, while also strengthening the midfield options. His qualities are well-suited to the new-look twin number eight roles that Klopp has developed.

Félix has already played a few games as an attacking midfielder, and his skills would likely translate well in that position. He demonstrates a strong work rate defensively and possesses excellent passing abilities, both through precise passes and carrying the ball forward.

Considering Félix's similarity to Lionel Messi in terms of playing style, it is evident that he is waiting for the right opportunity to shine. His potential has been somewhat stifled at Atlético Madrid and now at a struggling mid-table team. Moving to Liverpool could reignite the talent of this young player who previously captivated the world with his performances. Despite Liverpool's less-than-ideal season, they have the luxury of making a move for Félix and potentially rejuvenating their squad.
