At the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Wednesday, Asante Kotoko defeated 10-man Nsoatreman 1-0 to earn their second victory of the season.

Nsoatreman's involvement in the CAF Confederation Cup necessitated the postponement of the game.

In the 47th minute, Elvis Kyei Baffour scored the game-winning goal after diving highest to head Dauda Saaka's cross into the upper left corner.

Saaka, who also had a hand in last Sunday's 1-1 draw against Betekum Chelsea, recorded his second straight assist.

With 18 goal attempts and 55% ball possession, Kotoko outplayed Nsoatreman with just 4 attempts and 45% possession. Kotoko defeated Nsoatreman 6-1 in terms of shots on target.

With midfielder Daniel Amoo receiving two yellow cards in eight minutes, Nsoatreman finished the game with ten men.

With three straight victories, Medeama has maintained a perfect record and leads Kotoko by just one point in the league standings following this triumph.

This Sunday, Kotoko will play Accra Lions at home, while Nsoatreman—the FA Cup winners from the previous season—finds themselves in the bottom three after just one victory.

After finishing their continental obligations, they will try to go better against Legon Cities.

"We were awful in the opening half against Samartex," said GoldStars coach Frimpong Manso.

Head coach of the Bibiani Gold Stars, Frimpong Manso, claims that his team struggled against FC Samartex, particularly in the first half.

On Wednesday, the Miners hosted the reigning champions at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in a fantastic match of Matchday 2.

A goal by Kelvin Oppong in the second half allowed the home team to break the deadlock, but Emmanuel Mamah's goal sealed a draw.

In a press conference following the game, Manso characterized the encounter as a tale of two halves, with the team outplayed in the first and recovering stronger in the latter, along with an explanation of why.

"I think it was a tough game; we struggled a lot in the first half, but things started to improve when we made some adjustments in the second half.

"I think there were two halves to the game: they played in the first, and we won the second.

He continued, "We were losing the balls and were unable to maintain control, and when it occurs like that you run a lot and fatigue also sets in."

After four games, Bibiani Goldstars have eight points, good for third place in the league standings. This weekend, they will face Bechem United for the Matchday Five games at DUN's Park.
