Stop Misbehaving in NPP Colours — NEIP Boss Warns Actor Kwaku Manu
The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) boss, Kofi Ofosu-Twum, has issued a stern warning to popular Ghanaian actor Kwaku Manu to stop misbehaving while donning the colours of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Ofosu-Twum's remarks come after a series of controversial actions involving the actor and his association with the ruling political party.
In recent times, Kwaku Manu has been seen publicly expressing support for the NPP, attending rallies, and participating in political discussions. However, his behavior at some of these events has raised concerns. The NEIP boss emphasized that while every citizen has the right to express their political opinions, it is crucial that they do so in a manner that upholds respect and decorum. He stated that actors, especially those in the public eye, should be mindful of their actions and the image they project, particularly when representing political affiliations.
Ofosu-Twum warned Kwaku Manu that misbehavior could tarnish the image of the NPP and cause unnecessary division within the party. "We do not expect individuals associated with the NPP to engage in actions that undermine the party's principles and values," he remarked. The NEIP boss also reminded the actor that his role as a public figure carries a responsibility to set a positive example for the youth.
Kwaku Manu, known for his comedic roles in the Ghanaian movie industry, has had a significant influence on many young people in the country. His active involvement in political matters has often sparked debate, with some supporting his efforts while others criticize his methods.
As Ghana's political landscape continues to evolve, the call from the NEIP boss serves as a reminder that public figures, regardless of their field, must be careful in balancing their personal opinions with their responsibilities to society and the nation.
