President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is on a three-day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, which includes multiple important hospital commissioning events. Today, November 25, 2024, he begins the tour with a visit to Drobonso, a town in the Sekyere Afram Plains. Here, the President will commission the much-awaited Sekyere Afram Plains District Hospital. This new healthcare facility is expected to serve as a major improvement to the region’s healthcare system and offer better medical services to residents of the Sekyere Afram Plains area.
After completing the commissioning of the Sekyere Afram Plains District Hospital, Akufo-Addo will proceed to Sabronum, located in the Ahafo Ano South-East District, where he will inaugurate another district hospital. This move is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to expand healthcare infrastructure across the country and make healthcare more accessible to citizens, especially those in remote areas.
The President’s itinerary includes further stops, including a visit to Trede in Atwima Kwanwoma District, where he is set to officially open the district hospital. These hospital inaugurations are part of the broader plan to provide citizens with modern healthcare facilities, which is a key focus of the Akufo-Addo administration. As the President continues his tour, he will also stop at Bantama, where he will commission the Atafoa-Owabi River Bridge. This new infrastructure project is expected to improve transportation and ease movement for residents in and around the Bantama area.
The President’s tour will conclude in Suame, where he is scheduled to commission the Suame Municipal Hospital. This hospital is another significant addition to the healthcare system, which aims to address the growing medical needs of residents in the Suame Municipality. Finally, Akufo-Addo will visit Adum, where he will unveil a newly constructed office complex for the Audit Service. This office complex is expected to enhance the functioning of the Audit Service and provide a more efficient working environment for its staff.
Throughout his tour, Akufo-Addo is emphasizing his commitment to improving infrastructure and healthcare facilities in the Ashanti Region. The commissioning of these hospitals and infrastructure projects is expected to have a lasting impact on the region’s development, particularly in improving access to healthcare. These initiatives are in line with the government’s vision of building a strong and sustainable health system across the country, ensuring that every citizen has access to quality healthcare services.
In addition to the healthcare developments, the President’s tour serves as an opportunity for him to connect with the people of the Ashanti Region, showcasing his administration’s achievements in the region. The commissioning of these new hospitals and infrastructure projects is likely to strengthen the support for Akufo-Addo’s leadership as he continues his campaign for the upcoming elections. The President’s visit is not just a ceremonial occasion; it’s a demonstration of his administration’s ongoing efforts to improve the lives of Ghanaians.
