Despite the outpouring of admiration for the wedding videos, criticisms quickly emerged. Some viewers found Ruby's energetic dancing excessive for a bride. In one video, she took off her shoes, handed someone her purse in haste, and danced excitedly around her husband before kneeling to ‘fan him’ while offering a salute.
