Prosper Narteh Ogum, the head coach of Asante Kotoko, has asked supporters to forgive players for the several opportunities they wasted during the Ghana Premier League match against FC Samartex.

On Saturday, the Porcupine Warriors visited the reigning league winners. After the match ended 1-1, no team was able to earn all three points in the tense match that followed.

Saaka Dauda and Isaac Mintah, two Kotoko players, lost important opportunities that could have given the side the victory.

In his post-game interview, Kotoko coach Prosper Narteh Ogum expressed regret for the lost opportunities but offered forgiveness to his players.

"I am unhappy about [lost opportunities]." As you can see, the game was tense, and when players are tense, their technique usually gets tense as well. We must forgive the players despite the clear opportunities," Coach Ogum stated.

The Kotoko coach promised during his interview that his club will keep up their diligent efforts to increase goal scoring.

Kurt Okraku receives congratulations from SWAG on his election to the CAF Executive Committee.

Congratulations to Kurt Okraku, a Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) member, on his election to the CAF Executive Committee.

The 14th CAF General Assembly in Cairo earlier this week approved the Ghana Football Association's (GFA) president, who ran unchallenged on WAFU Zone B's ticket.

His appointment to CAF's highest decision-making body makes him just the sixth Ghanaian to do so.

SWAG said in a statement that his accomplishment was a proud occasion for Ghanaian football and the association.

According to the statement, "SWAG is happy to have members who have distinguished themselves in their disciplines and are making major contributions to the development of sports in Ghana."

The organization gave Okraku its warmest regards and said it was confident in his capacity to make a significant contribution to the governance of African football.

Despite the claims of a decline in Ghanaian football, Okraku, who has been the GFA President since 2019, is still gaining prominence on the continent.
