Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Ken Ofori-Atta has called the bluff of the Member of Parliament for Manhyia South who doubles as the Minister of Energy, Mathew Opoku Prempeh.

In a press briefing on the 2022 budget deadlock, the finance Minister announced a ¢10M allocation for the disaster victims of the Keta Tidal Waves which was one of the reasons for the rejection of budget by the minority.

Earlier last week, the Energy Minister mounted a spirited defense for the government not allocating funds to the Brekuso project which has been stalled since 2009 causing the tidal waves at Keta.

The Energy Minister cited the recent floods in Kumasi not receiving any allocation from government and vowed to lead a protest in Kumasi against the Finance Minister should he succumb to the pressures of the minority and the NDC.

Addressing the issue, Ken Ofori-Atta indicated that government is committed to bringing a solution to the tidal waves at Ketu, Keta and Anloga.

"The ¢10M will be used for visibility studies to find the appropriate technology to protect the people from future occurrences", he said.
