N'Golo Kante, a Chelsea midfielder, was recently dubbed "superman" by Thomas Tuchel. The Frenchman, according to the German manager, is someone that every team in the world aspires to have.
After winning the Premier League with Leicester City, N'Golo Kante joined Chelsea. Under all of the managers at Stamford Bridge, the Frenchman has been a key member of the starting XI, although he has spent a lot of time on the bench in recent months.
When asked about Kante during today's news conference, Tuchel insisted he wasn't being cautious with the Frenchman. When the midfielder recovers from injury, Chelsea manager says he will be eased back into the team he said:
"When I bring him back, I'm not so careful. With him, I have an open relationship. We'll take care of him, and he'll need his time. It's not because he's older; he simply takes longer. He is cautious and does not want to take chances. He is Superman, the player who makes a difference, the player who everyone wants in their midfield. It happened by chance during the match versus Juventus. This is a possibility. We miss him terribly."
Thomas Tuchel has long praised N'Golo Kante, even claiming that he wanted to recruit the Frenchman while he was the manager of Paris Saint-Germain. The German will be delighted he didn't try to entice the midfielder to Paris because he now has the opportunity to work with him at Chelsea.
Tuchel stated earlier this season: "If you have N'Golo on your team, you have something that everyone wants. Work rate, intensity, ball wins, skillful play, dribbles, half-field drives, and even a goal are all present in midfield. It's hard to believe how good he is because I see it every day in training. He's a one-of-a-kind individual, and I'm at a loss for words. N'Golo is N'Golo, and he is incredible."
N'Golo Kante is currently injured and has not been given a timetable for his comeback. Tuchel has stated that he has no idea when the World Cup winner will be back in training.
