Efforts to make Accra, Ghana's capital, the cleanest city in Africa are being hindered by livestock invading some of the city's main streets and districts.

The invasion of the central business center by herds of cattle has been uncovered during a week-long observation by the Daily Graphic.

 

It's most frequent on the Graphic Road, namely at the Toyota/Beyeeman traffic crossroads, near the Graphic Road BRT overpass, and along the Agbogbloshie stretch.

The fact that there were no shepherds herding the livestock was the most concerning. If such conditions persist without appropriate checks and controls, the government will definitely fall short of its goal of making the city the cleanest in Africa.
