The Akuapem North Constituency Polling Station Executives and Electoral Area Coordinators agreed and backed temporary Constituency Executives today in an Extra-Ordinary Conference to oversee and manage the Party's activities in the Constituency until substantive executives are elected.

The election for Constituency Executives has been plagued by judicial injunctions and disappointments, preventing them from picking their leaders to this point.

It will be recalled that the polling station executives recently held a news conference in which they urged the Member of Parliament for the region, Hon. Nana Ama Dokua, to stop using the courts to frustrate the election process so that the constituency could go forward.

Mr. Foster Adu Dartey, the Acting Constituency Chairman, pleaded for calm and requested for the polling station executives' full cooperation as he and his staff work closely with the party leadership to settle any difficulties in order to prepare for the elections.

Mr. Tony Osei Adjei, the party's Eastern Regional Secretary, swore in the Interim executives and charged them to lead in transparency and fairness. He also thanked the conference for adopting the Regional executives' proposal and assured them of a speedy resolution of all court cases so the party could return to normalcy as soon as possible.

The following are the temporary Executives that were sworn in today:

Chairman: Mr. Foster Adu Dartey

Mrs. Evelyn Aikins is the secretary for the company.

Mr. Emmanuel Yirenkyi Antwi is an organoser from Ghana.

Treasurer: Mrs. Gifty Obuobi

Women's Organizer, Mrs. Regina Appleton

After the meeting, some delegates voiced their enthusiasm for the agreement, saying that it will fill the present leadership void in the constituency and guarantee that party activity continues while they wait for the courts to rule.

They urged the Member of Parliament to drop all court challenges and let the process to continue, emphasizing that the delegates, not the courts, ultimately decide who becomes the constituency's executive.
