Attorneys of Emerge Ghana have blamed the Ghana Police Administration for denying them admittance to captured demonstrators.
As indicated by a public statement gave on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, the legal counselors say they were denied admittance as a result of an 'request from a higher place'.
Contending that the activity of the police is in contradiction of articles 14 and 15 of the 1992 Constitution to be denied admittance to the captured demonstrators, the legal advisors are approaching the Monitor General of Police to arrange his officials to concede them admittance to the dissenters held in police authority.
"Today a few legal counselors have attempted to get close enough to the people being held by the Police however have been denied admittance just in light of the fact that there is an "request from a higher place", obviously in contradiction of articles 14 and 15 of the 1992 Constitution.
Legal counselors Looking for A majority rules system (LINSOD) censure this illegal demonstration by the Police and denounce it completely. We request of the IGP to quickly arrange his men to permit people being in care to approach Legal counselors, portions of a delivery from legal advisors of Emerge Ghana have said.
It adds, "We further interest of the IGP to arrange his men to regard the protected privileges of all people being held in detainment by the Ghana Police and treat them with respect."
Police in a public statement noticed that 29 dissidents are in guardianship after they were captured on Tuesday for taking part in the savagery that defaced the very first moment of the Emerge Ghana 'krom ay3 hye' showing.
