Previous President, John Dramani Mahama has supported claims by Gabby Otchere Darko that the Electronic Exchange Duty (E-Toll) isn't rounding up the assessed income for government two months after its execution initiated.
In a post on his Twitter page on Monday, June 27, 2022, Mr. Otchere Darko uncovered that the E-Duty is just getting 10% of the projected income.
He noticed that main GHS60million was acknowledged from the normal GHS600million.
"Following 5 months of impasse and slamming, the e-demand, after execution, is conveying just 10% of assessed incomes; our incomes remain extremely low when contrasted with the remainder of the world; obligation levels hazardously high, cedi, as most monetary standards, battling against the US dollar," the main individual from the decision New Devoted Party (NPP) government said in a Tweet.
Portraying Gabby Otchere Darko as an informal Head of the state of Ghana while conveying a discourse at the debut send off of Think Ghana Progress on Thursday, June 30, 2022, ex-President Mahama said the numbers gave on the E-Toll were not nowhere near right.

In an exhortation to the decision government, John Dramani Mahama asked President Akufo-Addo to do whatever it may take to rebuild the country's obligation to try not to transform Ghana into Sri Lanka.
