The most recent prominent musician to laud the Ghanaian group Black Sherif is American rapper and producer DJ Khaled.  On Tuesday, the rapper posted a snapshot of Black Sherif's most recent song, Kwaku The Traveller, to his Instagram Stories.

Later on in the day, DJ Khaled shared a video of Black Sherif performing the initial version of the hit song Kwaku The Traveller.

The song was described by him as "music that touches your soul."

The song's concept is a compelling tale of a young guy on a lifelong quest for greatness, with a cleverly constructed plot and amazing melodies. Black Sherif was exhorted to persevere by DJ Khaled in his message, which also included a fire emoji.

The well-known American producer Timbaland seems to be thrilled by Black Sherif beneath the post.

So difficult, he remarked.

Months prior, Timbaland praised Black Sherif for the Kwaku The Traveller video and continued to do so today.

He posted a portion of the video on his page, with the hashtag #BlackSherif, and four fire emojis. He wrote, "This vibe, (sic)."

On April 15, "Kwaku The Traveller" had its formal debut. The song by Joker Nharnah has been at the top of important music playlists on all major digital streaming services since its debut.

It debuted at number 1 in Nigeria and Ghana on the Apple Music Top 100, respectively.

The song hit the Spotify Viral 50 rankings with #1 in Sweden, #5 in the UK, #10 on Spotify Global, #2 in Norway, #3 in Denmark, #6 in both Netherlands and Belgium, and #9 in France, among other countries. It was also the most Shazamed music in the whole globe.

A month after its debut, Black Sherif's blockbuster hit single had over 75 million audio streams. Music enthusiasts all throughout the world are not surprised by this spectacular growth.

Black Sherif has reached 100 million streams on Boomplay, the largest music streaming and download service in Africa. After an incredible run since last year, the "Kwaku the Traveller" hitmaker becomes the first Ghanaian artist to cross the 100 million streaming milestone on Boomplay.

Black Sherif enters Boomplay's Golden Club with this achievement, joining artists like Burna Boy, Wizkid, Davido, Diamond Platinumz, Fireboy DML, Joeboy, Omah Lay, and Rayvanny on the list of artists that have reached and surpassed the 100M streaming milestone.

The 20-year-old skilled musician, born Mohammed Ismail Shariff, released "Money," "Cry For Me," and "Destiny" in 2020, which helped him earn some internet notoriety.

He released "Money (remix)," "Adea Kye," and "Ankonam" afterwards and generated a tonne of hype.

In 2021, Black Sherif issued his "First Sermon" and "Second Sermon," which went viral and catapulted him into the public eye.

He expanded his audience outside of Africa thanks to a remix of his "Second Sermon" with Burna Boy.

Due to this, Blacko was revealed to be Ghana's second most streamed artist of 2021, and his songs "First Sermon" and "Second Sermon" were the first and second most streamed songs of 2021 in Ghana, during Boomplay's Recap 2021, which highlights statistics and insights of music consumption and engagement on the Boomplay platform.

Black Sherif later went on to win four prizes, including Boomplay Breakthrough Act of the Year, at the March 2022 3Music Awards.

He premiered a stunning rendition of his hit tune, "Kwaku the Traveller," at the same occasion. Many Ghanaians appear to be pleased that Black Sherif received attention from DJ Khaled.
