Chelsea hand €60 million transfer blow to Real Madrid
Real Madrid haven't made many big signings recently, but rumors suggest that they're planning big things for the summer of 2023. The club has already been linked with a number of high-profile players, including RB Leipzig's Christopher Nkunku.
The Frenchman has been absolutely brilliant for the German club, and it appears that a big move elsewhere is only a matter of time. Real Madrid were rumored to have him on their list of potential signings, but it appears that Chelsea have gotten ahead of them.Chelsea have not been afraid to spend money since the change in ownership, and it is clear that the new owners want the Blues to compete on both domestic and European fronts. To do so, they will need to bring in new players as their squad appears to be stagnant, especially going forward, and it appears that they are already laying the groundwork for a move for Nkunku.
According to Fabrizio Romano's tweet, Nkunku had a medical with Chelsea, which was confirmed by BILD. The Blues sent the Frenchman a long-term contract offer in preparation for the 2023 season. It is not yet complete because two clubs will discuss the fee.Chelsea appear set to hand Real Madrid a major setback in their pursuit of Nkunku.
It is expected that a €60 million release clause in Nkunku's contract will become active next summer.
As a result, his time at RB Leipzig appears to be limited, and he is expected to leave soon. It remains to be seen where that will be.However, at this point, Chelsea appears to be his most likely destination. Let's see if Real Madrid can intervene before anything official occurs. It should be noted that, given Nkunku's recent form, €60 million appears to be a very reasonable transfer fee in the current market.

Manchester United star wins Premier League Player of the Month
Marcus Rashford of Manchester United has been named Premier League Player of the Month for September 2022.
Rashford's four goals in September – no Premier League player scored more in the month – were enough to beat out competition from Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. He wins the award for the second time in his career, having previously won it in January 2019.
When asked how it felt to win, Rashford told Manchester United's official website, "Yeah, it's a good feeling."
"I think we didn't start the season very well, so to [then] get four wins in a row [in the league] is really impressive."
"The challenge now for all of us is to maintain that and continue to win games."
"To be fair, I believe everyone has contributed. The four victories have been good team performances, and the most important thing for me is that we've gotten better over time. Hopefully, we can continue on this path and continue to improve."The manager is still getting used to it. We've gotten a lot better at doing what he wants us to do, but there are still a lot of steps we need to take. We're all looking forward to working hard and accomplishing our goals together."
