When it was time to collect the woman's dead body, representatives from the National Disaster Management Organization (NADMO) and the Ghana National Fire Service arrived on the scene in good time.
According to Mr. Patrick Ocran, a representative from NADMO, bruises were found all over the corpse after it was rescued.
"Some residents called to report that someone had fallen into the well, and we responded. Quickly, we mobilized.
In order to prevent others from retrieving water, he stated that his group had cordoned off the area.
"We have mandated that the well be shut down in the interim. Before allowing people to gather there once more, we are trying to make sure it is safe for drinking.
We are in the season of Christmas so everybody should watch how they do their things to prevent premature death.
