In order to settle the security issue in Bawku peacefully, the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the Overlord of the Kusaug Traditional Area, Naba Abugrago Azoka II, have reaffirmed their commitment.
At a meeting last Friday at Jubilee House, President Akufo-Addo said that maintaining peace in Bawku remained a government priority.
In order to accomplish that goal, he continued, the pertinent authorities will continue to collaborate closely with the Kusaug Traditional Authority.
The President also reaffirmed his pledge to immediately deal with any situation that would jeopardize the peace and security of the region in accordance with the state's laws.
