The youth team of the porcupine warriors would play their first ever organised match on Saturday again Kumasi Crystal Palace Babies to see how far they've come as a new academy. Even though it won't be fully results based but the team would see the hunger and body language of the players and how they'll react situations on the field of play. As long as it has been communicated by the club, this means you can pass through and watch some at 8AM when the game begins at the Adako Jahie or AJ Training centre.
A big concern from a fan who is really worried about the current happenings at the training centre of Asante Kotoko, There's a recent surge in youtubers and other media personnel who, in their quest to bolster their contents on their personal and media platforms have made Adako Jachie an annex of their studios by reporting everything that goes on there for their gains.
They report on the extent of work done on the King's project and some even give coverage of our training sessions at Adako Jachie.
This is utterly inappropriate to be allowed by a professional club like ours. Why do we allow anyone to enter our training grounds and start reporting whatever that's happening there?
This is absolutely wrong. I don't think any media personnel in UK can just pick up his camera and enter the property of say Manchester United and start showing what they are doing there. No! It won't happen.
These media guys, in their parochial interest to bolster traffic on their platforms have ignored the necessary protocols and are doing what they like at Adako.
It appears we have become too magnanimous and liberal hence allowing such mass invasion . So where is the privacy of the club?
This act is backward and highly distasteful and has to be stopped with the strictest anger and disapproval.
If anything at all, the club should be the right entity to show the progress of work at AJ within a particular time-frame on our platforms to improve engagement and monetary gains there instead of allowing individual competitors in that space to rather make the best of the situation.
This is never a best practice and the IMC must act now. Stop people from reporting whatever that is going on at the center.
The club should do that not any individual with their own interest.
