In a public announcement dated December 24, 2024, the GSA noted that the ongoing scanner breakdown at MPS Terminal 3 and intermittent issues with the Integrated Customs Management System (ICUMS) have negatively impacted cargo clearance. These issues, according to the authority, have created significant bottlenecks, leaving shippers frustrated. Acknowledging the gravity of the situation, the GSA has assured stakeholders of its commitment to resolving these technical setbacks promptly.
