Thierry Henry admitted Leicester were "lucky" to beat Liverpool, but he didn't blame Mohamed Salah's first-half penalty.
Thierry Henry admitted Leicester City "got lucky" in their win over Liverpool.
The former Arsenal striker claimed Liverpool 'normally' punished opponents when given clear chances, but he was surprised to see Leicester come away with three points.
Liverpool were defeated by Leicester City on Tuesday night, leaving them six points behind Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
On 15 minutes, Salah's penalty was saved by Kasper Schmeichel, and he hit the crossbar with a header from the rebound. At the final whistle, Liverpool was left to rue that moment.
Despite believing that Leicester were fortunate to come away with three points, Arsenal legend Henry believed that Leicester were most fortunate in the second half.
"Schmeichel said it, they got lucky," Henry admitted as an Amazon Prime pundit.
"The second half, not lucky in the first half because he [Schmeichel] guessed right, but normally you expect [Liverpool] to punish teams when they are at their best and given chances, but they didn't."
"One thing I wanted to talk about is that they had the desire and the will to do well," Henry continued. And I saw that from the substitutes, and I don't like using the word "substitute," but the game changes.

"Those guys who came on today changed the game. Lookman, Tielemans, and Albrighton did what Maddison couldn't do anymore for the team, and I think you saw that for the team, and I understand what Kasper means by "never giving up."
Ademola Lookman came off the bench for Brendan Rodgers' side and scored the game's only goal just three minutes after replacing Hamza Choudhury.
As a result, Liverpool's incredible streak of not losing a league game in December since 2016 ended, with Jurgen Klopp's team failing to score the first time this season.
