The ten most costly player sales at Porto
Jackson Martinez, Atletico Madrid, €35 million, 2015
Jackson Martinez played in 90 games for Porto in the Primeira Liga while playing for Chiapas of Mexico in exchange for €8.8 million over the course of three seasons.
He was the league's top scorer in his debut season with the club, helping his team go undefeated and capture their third straight championship.
The following season, Martinez replicated his feats of valor, becoming the first player to lead his division in scoring in back-to-back campaigns since Mario Jardel did so four times in a row from 1996 to 2000.
In a Champions League group stage match against Shakhtar in 2014–15, the Colombian's best performance came as a substitute. The attacker helped Porto tie the game after falling behind the Ukrainian team 2-0 in the first four minutes.
Atletico Madrid came knocking at the end of that campaign and demanded a hefty €35m for him.
9 Andre Silva, 2017; €38 million; AC Milan
Andre Silva made his Porto debut in December 2015, and for the better part of two seasons after that, he was a constant in the squad.
Before AC Milan came knocking and agreed to pay a €38m fee for the Portuguese striker, Silva played 41 times for Porto over the course of two years, scoring 17 goals.
While at Milan for three seasons, he was loaned out to Sevilla and then Eintracht Frankfurt.
