The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has declared a one-month ban starting June 7 to July 6, 2022, for clients to report issues with its meters.
The organization in a proclamation said any clients who are found taking power after the ban will be accused of taking as per the law and "their names will likewise be distributed broadly".
Clients are to answer to ECG's District/Regional workplaces for any of the underlisted issues during the time of the ban:
1. Postpaid clients who have meters yet don't get bills
2. Prepaid clients who don't buy power credits
3. Clients whose meters are flawed
4. Clients who have by-passed or messed with their meters and are in this manner not paying for the full expense of force utilization
5. Clients who have taken part in any type of electrical wrongdoing, and so forth.
As a feature of the review, groups of ECG authorities will be conveyed to refresh client data.
